Can I start by shaking my head???? Whatever! SMH!!!  It makes no sense that a writer and vocalist of this caliber is not heard in your cars, homes, and ipods or taking over BET, Centric, VH1 Soul, etc...IT MAKES NO SENSE!! This hardworking, calm, cool, smooth fella is absolutely brilliant.  Who am I referring to??? I bet ya asses wanna know! LOL! Anyone who knows me knows that I am a MUSIC head.....I love authentic music....music that speaks to my situations.....music that takes me away from actual happenings aurrounding me....music that inspire me to be a better artist! I must say I felt that and more while diggin through the digital crates(LOL) on http://www.ironlungs.wordpress.com/ and stumbled onto D. Hayes' album entitled "Lost In Translation." Moreover, I was PRIVILEGED to hear some of his new work(because i'm special..lol) from his upcoming project "No Stage Name" this past weekend and I was totally blown away.  That ride you go on while listening to Luther, Teddy P, Donny, Maxwell, Raheem DeVaughn, Brian Mc Knight, etc....I WAS ON THAT RIDE! What a thrill! To finally have another male vocalist who is GENUINE to who he is as a writer and artist! I love every second of his voice and writing arrangements on his songs.  HAD I BEEN WEARING DRAWS WHILE LISTENING TO HIM, I WOULD'VE BEEN A PAIR SHORT!! All I need y'all to do is check him out and get that old school taste of that authentic Soul/R&B music in your systems cause I know y'all gotta be fed up with the constant foolery radio tries to feed us with these artists that can barely sing a damn note!! I'M SO OVER IT!! D. Hayes is from Dallas, Texas and has been singing since he was 3....realizing it was God's calling on his life, he continued pursuing his passion....he's opened for Fred Hammond, Mario, and the legendary Commodores...speaks for itself! Friend? What is the TRUE meaning of that word?? Who lives out the true ACTIONS of that word?
FRIENDSHIP has burned me many times. Alot of times the scars left me defensive to any future friendships.  I don't even like to use the word anymore. Sometimes I sit and wonder why people do the hurtful things they do.....what make syou want to hurt someone??? Especially a person whom you know would never hurt you in that way.....a person who has always been there for you whenever you needed. That word
"friend" is NOTHING without applied actions......actions proving that you are there to simply "be there" throughout time just because you care....NOT EXPECTING ANYTHING!! I've found that it's a little more intricate sharing an entire album with someone but, damn it's a joy! I'm having a blast! Keep in mind that I am also working on "Politely Rude," my next solo project!!! SOME OF THE CRAZIEST FEATURES....my mind doesn't even understand how my mouth has been able to keep quiet about them!!! I will give y'all a lil peek....i'm excited to announce that Rapsody (B-girl from 9th Wonder's label) is a feature on 'Politely Rude"....and that shyt is just RUDE! Lol! The other features are STILL mind blowing to me but, shhhhhhhhhhh. In other news, my team (80's Baby Ent) is ONLY getting stronger....we've snagged this dope R&B fella named D. Hayes....his album entitled "No Stage Name" is close to release....he's gonna sing the ladies draws off....I personally won't wear any when I go to see him sing live! Campion bond (formely known as B.E.Z.) is about to drop his project and that's going to be BANANAMAH....I just think he's the dopest "PACKAGE" out of Dallas!! Street Team(Big S/O to raymond) and A&R(S/O to Sobechi's _h__o____y _s_! LMAO ...but, i'm serious! LOL) team are really promoting and supportive!! If you didn't catch the Legends Concert with SALT N PEPA.....MC LYTE......DOUG E FRESH....KOOL MOE DEE......AND BIZ MARKIE.......all I can say is WOWZERZZZ!! As everyone knows Spin hasn't been on tour with the ladies but, there is something about them as a trio....... indescribable......overwhelming......eye opener......I heard it said "It's magic" and indeed.....I agree! I watched them rock with my mouth wide open forgetting I knew the words to the damn songs.....I just couldn't believe I was watching Salt, Spin, and Pep do their thing!!  When Spin came from behind the turntables to do her "Whatta Man" verse the crowd went BANANAMAH!! Salt and Pepa were killing the steps to "Push It"....despite their ages, they were full of energy and it was like watching the video all over again!! THEY ENDED THE SHOW WITH KIRK FRANKLIN'S "STOMP" (remix with Salt's verse) annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd that was a GREAT touch!!!! I won't tell yall that I almost fainted...I won't BUT, ALL I'M SAYING IS....... IT WAS MAGIC....... A night I will never forget!! And I salute this hip hop trio who will live forever!!!
